Please pray for Marilyn who recently had heart surgery(out-patient) to correct her heart rhythm. I had to take her back yesterday to the cardiac surgeon due to continuing chest pain and shortness of breath. She is really sapped of energy.Thanks,Phil for the McBrides

Please pray for Christi Barnes and her family. Christi's family are missionaries with Northwest Haiti Christian Mission and she had to be evacuated out of Haiti a couple of weeks ago because of an illness. Once in Miami, she had to have emergency surgery on her gall bladder. She is home in Texas now recovering from her surgery, but the family plans to come back to Haiti next month. Please pray for her recovery and their return to the field God has called them to.

I live in Oklahoma and my son Kent lives in Savannah. He was raised in church but hasn't gone since graduating highschool and joining the Marines. He will be out of the Marines in June and I am praying he will start going to SCC and get his life turned back on for God.

Update on Paul in Thailand:We praise God for all your prayers. The accident has changed all of our lives for the present."We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair�" 2 Cor 4:8-9Our son Paul is not able to walk yet, but is learning to get around on crutches; he is healing well. Please continue to lift him to Father, as this is daunting pressure for a young man of 18.We continue to pray for the salvation of the Thai family, for the resurrection of the officer and visit them at the hospital. Our hearts are very heavy for his wife, 2 young children and the whole family.As to the 1st hearing, we were declared the one at fault, so must assume full responsibility for what the authorities decide, even though the officer was riding with no helmet (the "helmet law"). God Almighty and Paul's helmet saved our son's life.At present, the police officer remains in a coma and all the hospital bills - brain surgery, life support, CT Scans, ICU have been put in our lap. We are trying to negotiate with the hospital for a lower balance, a monthly payment plan or to be employed by the hospital. Our cycleinsurance and the officer's cycle insurance may pay about 1/5 of the amount - if they come through.At present, we are expected by the authorities and the family to compensate the wife and children with a sizable gift, which we feel responsible for.We are NOT writing you seeking to be rescued, nor are we asking for money. But we do need an army of prayer warriors to rally behind us. We want to shine for Jesus in this darkness.God is good and all He does is good! We covet your prayers.Jim

From a missionary friend in Thailand:At present, it appears our 18 year old son Paul pulled out on his motorbike and another man on a bike hit him. The man on the other bike is an army officer and he is being kept alive on life support in ICU. We visited him and his family at the hospital today, shared our grief and their sorrow, prayed for him and them, and gave a Thai New Testament. His wife has 2 young children.The situation is beyond hope in the natural, but we urge you to pray with us for a miracle!The first court hearing for Paul is tomorrow (Feb. 6, Mon.) morning @ 10:00 at the police station. Our fate is unpredictable in this system, but we trust that God is in control. God bless you for standing with us in prayer.

I ask that you would reveal yourself to the congregation and also reveal the calling that you have placed on every believer; the call to GO. I pray that you would strengthen and encourage our partners while they are here for this time and that they would be blessed from their time spent in Savannah. Let your will be done, Lord. Amen.

I'm requesting prayer for my sister Libby. She has been sick with what she thought were intestinal related problems over the last 2-3 months. She was hospitalized yesterday at St. Joseph's. She was told this afternoon that she has end-stage cirrhosis of her liver. My sister has never been a drinker; she served 8 years as a foreign missionary through New Tribes Mission. Non-drinking liver disease runs in our family on our Mom's side. She is in a compensated state now and is not a candidate for a transplant because she is 75 years old. Please pray for a miracle. I know God can heal her and that the power of prayer can change anything!

Please pray for my 83 yr old mother who just had her 7th surgery o her knee. This is the last chance at saving her leg. If the infections start back, the only other option is to amputate. Also, pray for my sister who was told yesterday she has a melanoma and that they are also going to have to check to make sure it has not spread to her lymph nodes.

Pray for my son's healing and that he will return to Christ. He has been leading a life that has gotten him into trouble with the law and he has hit rock bottom. Pray that he will turn to the Lord for direction, hope and healing. Pray for healing of our family and our son. Pray that he will be open to prayer and the word.
